Terms of service

These terms govern the sale and use of The Porch Light Kit at porchlightkit.com. By completing a purchase you accept them. Seller details appear in our legal notice.

1. Seller

Emanuel Chereji, Hofmannsthalweg 20, 4030 Linz, Austria. Email: hello@porchlightkit.com. Sole proprietorship; small business exempt from VAT under §6 Abs 1 Z 27 UStG.

2. What you are buying

The Porch Light Kit is a digital product: four PDF books, approximately 70 pages in total, delivered by email after purchase. The price is USD 47, charged once. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no account to maintain. Nothing physical ships.

3. Price and tax

Prices are in US dollars. As a small business under the Austrian Kleinunternehmerregelung we do not charge or show Austrian VAT. Depending on your place of residence, your own jurisdiction may impose taxes or duties on the purchase; any such amounts are your responsibility unless we are legally required to collect them, in which case they are shown at checkout.

4. Formation of contract and delivery

Your order constitutes an offer; the contract is formed when we confirm the order or deliver the product, whichever is earlier. Delivery is by download link sent to the email address you provide. Please ensure that address is correct — delivery failures caused by an incorrect address are not our responsibility, though we will gladly resend on request.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Because delivery is immediate, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right for digital content lapses once performance begins with your express consent and acknowledgement (§18 Abs 1 Z 11 FAGG). Independently of this, we grant a voluntary 30-day, no-questions money-back guarantee, and you keep the kit. Full detail in our refund policy.

6. Licence

Your purchase grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to read, print and use the kit for yourself and your immediate household. You may not resell, sublicense, republish, upload publicly, or distribute copies, in whole or in part. All intellectual property rights remain with us.

7. Educational material, not professional care

The Porch Light is an editorial team. We are not therapists, counsellors, physicians or lawyers, and we do not present ourselves as such. The kit is educational material assembled from published research and public firsthand accounts. It is not therapy, medical advice, legal advice or crisis care, and it is not a substitute for any of them. The kit itself explains when a licensed professional belongs on your team and how to choose one.

We make no promise of reconciliation, reunion, contact, or any particular response from your adult child. No honest party can promise that. What the kit offers is a way to stop compounding the damage, make one clean and accountable opening, and hold steady with the door open. Outcomes are not ours to guarantee, and nothing on this site should be read as guaranteeing one.

8. Limitation of liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for personal injury, and wherever liability is mandatory by law. Otherwise, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the product is limited to the purchase price paid, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

9. Governing law

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Where you contract as a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.

10. Changes
